Hi Bebelka and welcome to GoY. It really depends on what you want to cut the branches back on and where you live. Winter is not anywhere near over, if you can tell us what you would like to cut back and the area of the UK you live in we can help more.

As a general answer, I would say it's too early. Pruning makes plants start to grow again and we're still very likely to get more very cold weather that would kill off the new growth.

If you prune many shrubs before flowering they won't flower this year.
