How to grow celosia from seeds?

I asked a question about CELIOS, sorry got the spelling wrong

On plant Celosia argentea



Sow seed in John Innes seed compost, 55-60 degrees farhenheit in Feb/ March.
When 1in high, pot on in 2in pots, compost 2 parts loam, 2 parts leaf mould and well rotted manure, 1 part sharp sand.
Cut the tops of young plants just below the comb, pot up in small pots. Grow on in propogating frame in greenhouse. Plant out in June.
Celosia Cristata, Flat heads.
Celosia Plumosa, Plumes.

Thank you doctorbob1 Do you have to get the seed from a specialist gardeners supply. I 've had a look around a few shops but have'nt seen any

Hi Davan,
Glad you found the advice useful.
You need a specialist supplier, try Thompson and Morgan, Phone number 08442485383.
They may not have any at the moment as it is the wrong time of year, but if not they will probably have some around Christmas time, so you can plant in the spring, they will let you know when.
