hi gang. i have wrapped up my palms for the winter, just in time, i have used fleece and put them in my top shed. they are off the ground and fully protected, i did read that they need watering every now and then. is this true ?. I have four large pots and dont want to lose them. merry xmas to you all. alaibongo

they might require some water - best to check the top of the compost periodically, and if its dry, water, sufficient to stop the compost shrivelling and shrinking from the sides of the pots. Palms generally prefer to dry out a bit between waterings even indoors, so wait till the surface compost is dry each time. You may have to do it only once.
