Just from my own observations...If the weather has been particularly warm during the flowering season and then it starts to rain roses as well as other plants seem to drop all that seasons leaves and put out fresh growth. Almost like shedding worn out clothes that are tired and dirty and putting on a clean, freshly ironed dress! :)

Are there black spots on the leaves. Black spot usually appears in June. Can spray with a fungicide.
