Need more info to give a proper answer I'm afraid:
When was the grass seed put down?
Has it germinated and started growing, and how tall is it?
Are the brown patches where the seed hasn't germinated, or something that's happened after germination and growth has begun?
Did you use any chemicals on the ground before sowing grass seed, such as weedkiller, or feed?
Have you kept the seedbed moist?
