Not enough info Guest - by curly do you mean twisted and distorted? Or just curling over? And is there any sign of insect infestation on the stems and leaves, as well as any signs of fungus? Any sign of yellow mosaicing, although if you mean spotted Laurel (Aucuba) it could be hard to tell, but you should be able to see it on a Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus)
