No, you don't have to lift Lillies, just let them die back naturally and then cut back the withered stems. I hope you planted them deep enough, around 6 to 8 inches deep. Some varieties of course are more robust than others. Lillies also grow well in containers, overwintering the pots in the unheated greenhouse.
