The lower leaves on one of my rhodedendrons are going very yellow and I cant understand why. It is planted in ericaceous compost and had a specific feed a few weeks ago, before blooming. There are more rhodi's in the same plot which are perfectly alright. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thank you very much. I'll watch out for the others. I have quite a lot of Rhodi's specifically for ease (and their beauty of course) as its rather a large garden.

is it just a few or all of them?
they do lose leaves over the whole year and with the heat/dry at the moment it may just be a speeding up of the process. so 10 leaves turn in a week instead of over a month. If that makes sense.
