Not strictly gardening but slightly related ( I hope ).
A friend of mine makes himself a hot drink during the day ( who doesn’t ?) but ha doesn’t put tea or tea bags or coffee in it - he puts rosemary leaves in ?
Ha cuts a 6 inch “twig “ off the top of his bush, washes it under the tap, dries it and dunks it upside down in his beaker, then fills it with boiling water, waits 5 mins then he drinks it.
He swears he has felt much better since he started doing this and suggests I do the same.
Does anyone else do this ?

Not something I do so cant really comment on its benefit.
Rosemary is a nice herb though.

My rosemary is too young to spare enough. But most herb teas are nice so give it a try. If you have any lemon balm you can make a nice with thatwhich is lovely and calming. I can send you a root if you like.
Found this on line for you:
Rosemary is a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which are thought to help boost the immune system and improve blood circulation. Rosemary is considered a cognitive stimulant and can help improve memory performance and quality. It is also known to boost alertness, intelligence, and focus.

"Tea" can be made with just about anything. That's what your friend likes - who am I to judge? Only please let me keep my coconut-banana milkshakes. Oh the scowls I get when I make those, but I'm in my happy place.

I get the impression it’s not popular, but I’ll give it a try. Thanks. And Sue - what I set rarely grows, even the crocuses I put in have nor appeared.

I’ve heard or rosemary tea but never tried it. They say Rosemary is for remembrance so perhaps you’ll develop a fantastic memory.
Let us know what you think of it Hank. If you’re daring enough to try, that is!

I use Rosemary when making beef gravy for good flava and that's my sister's name.

Checked it out today, then I added coffee and sweeteners to it as I couldn’t taste it at all. May add a teabag tomorrow .

Hank when did you plant the crocuses? they won't appear until around early March.
About the tea, how much did you use and was it fresh or dried? If it was a sprig of fresh you might try bruising it bit to release some of the oils? Didn't you say you do have problems tasting things these days?

And it just isn't true that nothing you plant grows. I can't remember everything but you had an excellent crop of blackberries and your apples do OK don't they? You are just feeling a bit depressed because of recent health problems, so cheer up!

Ah, I set the crocuses about a month ago and have another bag to set.i didn’t know they took that long to appear. Will put the rest in now.
As for the drink, I put 2, then 3, 6 inch “sprigs “ in and stirred it well and left it 5 mins as I was told.
And sadly no, I have very little sense of smell or taste.
But I’m not depressed now - a year ago I couldn’t walk further than 200 yds without a rest whereas now I can easily do a mile which has cheered me up a lot.

So don't despair! I reckon you are doing very well in spite of everything. The rosemary will have done you good even if you couldn't taste it. You aren't one for giving in. Those crocuses will be fully occupied right now putting down roots ready for Spring, you'll see.
