Something has laid eggs in the leaves of my Alstroemeria, & chomping them away. I prefer not to use chemicals if possible. Any help would be great.

Oh Good Grief Seaburn! Do Lily beetles eat Alstroemeria as well?

10 years ago a member called Louise said they did. They are in the lily family so it is possible. Lets see if any other member has noticed them.

Lily beetles are not supposed to eat Alstroemeria according to the RHS.

They have their own maternity unit, munching happily ๐

That looks like typical slug damage. I cant see any creatures. Though not sure why your leaves are speckled.

« Thanks YL, sheโs still eating it - says itโs still superb.
can you upload a photo of what is chomping?
then hopefully we can see what it is and if it should be allowed to chomp away or if it can be moved before it is killed.
