Hi Sue,
glad you are back. Exciting news at our end Toria got engaged 3 weeks ago. Still no success getting a conservation job though.

why Yorks? I thought you were a true Welsh girl :o)

Hi Sue, ditto. Glad you made it back on. As for the old stuff - as they say in Brooklyn - Fuhgeddaboudit!

Welcome back Sue, and as Bathgate says for the old stuff, the web is chock full of old stuff that just piles up

As they say, and many a politician has found out, the Intent never forgets

I suppose it will show on searches so may prove of use to someone

I suspect this site is going to seize up completely at some point - I now can;t see any pictures of any sort, no avatars and no photos that anyone posts, whether in a question or elsewhere and its been like that for a week.
Do we all think there is still someone monitoring the site or has it been left to simply deteriorate on its own over time?

I m not having any problems at the minute. I hope it doesn't 'wither and die'.

Thank you for the welcome folks.

Eileen - not at all, I'm Sheffield born and bred. I don 't normally need to say who I am on the phone here- the accent gives it away! Only thought afterwards, I hope Lincslass doesn't think I was copying - only thought about that afterwards...
Sorry Victoria is having a struggle job finding. Hope she is marrying money to tide her over, lol...I did notice your post saying she had got engaged - I wish her every happiness.

Bamboo - It certainly isn't getting any better. Dave has been telling me that he's forwarding my problem to the techies but all they ever did was send me a link for a new password, and none of them made any difference.Hoping for an update on your treatment? Would have PM'd you if I'd been able to get in...

GG- Glad the lonicera are doing OK. Shouldn't be many months now before they begin strutting their stuff... border is looking good.

Paul - normally forgetting is what I'm really good at but it doesn't work for everything!

I have wondered if the worst comes to the worst we might make it a subscription site to pay for part time techie what do you all think?

We've had brainstorming sessions before. They amounted to nothing.

21 Oct, 2020

They stand a better chance than doing nothing though.

Hello Sue,and welcome back to your Yorkshire roots ! What a palaver you have had these past weeks,so I hope it all runs smoothly for you ,from now on.

May I ask,did you try running Microsoft Edge ?,as a few of us lost all our photo's etc, when using Google Chrome..None of us seem to have had any further problems, and all pictures etc were restored immediately. and Bamboo, you seem to be having the same problem,as we had..Worth a try,to see if you can restore yours too..good luck.

Ianplant has also asked about this on Questions tonight, and it seems he was experiencing this too.

I,m glad Microsoft Edge is working for people. No good to me though because we are on Linux here, and its normally rather better than Microsoft. The exception seems to be proving the rule right now though...

22 Oct, 2020

Oh,that's a shame Sue,but at least you are back with us again,so that's the main thing :o)

22 Oct, 2020

Just keeping my fingers crossed as this happened to me once before. Don't know what I do to upset it...

23 Oct, 2020

Ah, now I know who Yorkslass is! Sue, you thanked me for the Fuchsia I.D. on a blog by Rose and I was thinking "Who is this?!!"

Good to see you back ... long may you stay ... :o)

24 Oct, 2020

Sorry about that Shirley - thank you for your good wishes!
I had to borrow an old email address of OH's to finally manage it!

24 Oct, 2020

I confuse easily too Homebird... Yes thankyou we seem to bee OK so far, but continue to give thanks I'm not confined in an upstairs flat with no garden...

25 Oct, 2020

How about a new avatar Sue? Forget the old, embrace the new!

25 Oct, 2020

Welcome back Sue, I really missed you, now you have known me long enough to know I rarely get uptight about things, I don't mind in the slightest, will admit when I just saw your comment I did laugh, I think its hilarious as we are both Sue as well, you'll have to forgive me if I slip up occasionally and still call you Stera though...

25 Oct, 2020

Of course I don't mind... I still feel like Stera though I guess I'll soon get used to it. What a lovely thing to say - I would have expected some sighs of relief that I wasn't there yammering on with overlong replies.

Paul you are quite right - I'd better get on with it. Shall I have a new pic or confuse you by using the old one?

26 Oct, 2020

New pic please.

26 Oct, 2020

Will this one do? Freddy hasn't been with us very long but has made himself very much at home!

27 Oct, 2020

See now you're back! Nice pic of Freddy.

28 Oct, 2020

Hello,Freddy. Looks like you have settled in really well already ! :o) xx

28 Oct, 2020

Now I can't stop singing that song from Grease - Freddy my love, Freddy my love, Freddy my lo-ove!

28 Oct, 2020

Hello Freddy, now I really do think we must be a matching pair Sue, I'm going to find a photograph of our Toffee and put it on for you to see so you will know what I mean....

28 Oct, 2020

Now I know who Yorklass is. Glad you are back, Sue. Nice
pic of Freddie too, a lovely cat.

Hi Stera (aka Yorkslass!) nice to have you back with us! I did wonder who you were! You could have used Stera2 as your new avatar name, just like Amy did when she had to open a new account.

Bamboo, you could try Firefox. I've had no problems seeing pictures & I've got several adblockers installed in it as well. Firefox runs really well on Linux machines - I used a laptop with Linux installed & used Firefox as my browser just as I have done on Windows PCs.

Balcony when it happened to me a few years ago the Techies reinstated me as Stera2. This time though they were unable to help. I run Firefox on a Linux machine too, plus a good adblocker.

So glad to see you back, Sue. I was wondering why Steragram hadn’t been posting lately! (Btw I was also born in Yorkshire but lost the accent long ago 🙂)
