I planted this lovely Fatsia a few weeks ago. It’s in a shady place but I thought it would still do ok. When I looked at it today some of the young leaves I picked off were turning brown as is the one in the centre. Why is this? I’d appreciate some advice please.

Most likely frost damage due to the cold nights recently - this variegated form of Fatsia (like a lot of variegated versions of plants) is not as hardy as the plain green forms.

Thank you, Bamboo. I’m relieved it’s nothing serious. It brightens up a dark corner under the pergola. Hopefully it’s sheltered there.

How do I say thanks?
