My Wilson's magnolia has produced lots of seeds this year, does anyone know if they can be propogated and if so how?

My book says to "sow ripe seed in Spring, although plants raised in this manner may take 30 years to flower". Doesn't tell you the method either - guess if you're under 35, might be worth it, otherwise you might not live long enough to see any flowers!
