I receneetly bought a very large bulb at a garden show-now I can't remember what it was ,when or where to plant. It looks and feels exactly like a swede, very hard and about 13 inches in circumference

Sounds like an Amaryllis bulb if so you need to plant in a pot with a mixture of compost and perlite to aid drainage as they do like to be kept relativity dry and you must keep about 1/3 the bulb above the soil level .The size of this bulb intrigues me would it be possible to have a photo.

Amaryllis belladonna? Crinum? Do those names ring bells?
Or maybe an indoor Amaryllis?
