Can GAZANIAS be kept?

Can GAZANIAS ( a stunning show still!! ) be lifted and kept for next year? I think I saw somewhere that cuttings can be taken from them. Please tell me how it's done!!!!!

Sorry this took so long, Ian! I grow Gazanias, but I'm not familiar enough with the climate of Aberdeenshire.
Are they the clumping type of Gazania, or the trailing type?
