my broccoli has been badly eaten by caterpillars - is there any point in keeping the plants in the hope they will eventually give me some crop or should I just discard them now.

Hi Grandmairene and welcome to GoY. I left our broccoli last year when it was eaten on the grounds that it might just save my other brassicas.

I suffered the same Grandmairene.
It would depend on how severely eaten they are?
Mine for example have been well, truly devoured and are showing no heads when really i should be harvesting already....
so i have reluctantly cut them down.... but will plan better for next time i.e net screening.
