how to take cuttings from a hydranger

find a shoot of this years wood without a flower and count 3 pairs of leaves down, make a clean cut just below the leaf joint and remove the bottom leaves, fill a pot with compost and put the cuttings around the edge-- just below the next set of leavesthen water carefully and put in a warm shady place( mine are in a cool part of the greenhouse), do not over water but keep moist and be patient and hope for developments in a few weeks time
