I am growing sweet banana chillies for the first time and they were doing well but one of the plants looks like it is going mouldy and some of the leaves are going brown. any ideas on what caused this.

I had a pepper that went soft, it could have been insect damage but the rest are ok just watch the watering if its cold & grey--
