What did the instructions tell you to do duffy. Welcome to GOY. Do not worry as nothing is forever in a garden. Even if you have killed the grass which I doubt, it will grow again even if it means you have to plant fresh seed. The grass, which was long, hid the grass underneath shutting out the light. The resulting pale colour was because of lack of light. If you keep it cut in future it will remain green unless there is a drought and you do not water it.

Hi Duffy welcome to Goy. I dont think you will have killed your lawn - probably burnt it with too much feed? Hopefully it is wet and wont dry out, also keep it mowed every 3-5 days that encourages growth weakens weeds and helps keep the grass greeen. The best care for a lawn in summer is regular mowing and watering if very dry. Give it a month and see what its like then before doing anything else? Good luck. Looks like I repeated what you said SG - we posted at same time!

Another night bird then Drc. I went to bed after posting so did not spot that. Have just spent a wonderful exhausting two weeks sunbathing on golden sands or trekking through forests to peek at allsorts of wildlife not normally found at home. All within travelling distance of home too. We went to the Highland Wildlife Centre to catch up with the polar bear from Edinburgh Zoo. She moved in to her new home last winter and had a great time sliding down snowy mountains just as she could have done in the wild. We saw the tigers frolicking in their pools. Also monkeys swimming around in their pool playing with their young. We saw wild horses racing over grassy hills and yak and bison and even some camels. And the reindeer waiting for a call from Santa no doubt. Our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren had a great time.

Sounds like a great holiday SG and yes we have had some memorable holidays in the UK too.
