this plant must have been grown from a seed dropped by birds. It has a leaf like a canabis plant, I am told. It has no flowers, is about 5 ' tall and growing and is next to a sun flower also a rogue plant.It is a very attractive looking plant

Can't see your photo, but just because a plant has cannabis like leaves doesn't mean it is that. There are many plants with cannabis leaves, from the hemp (which IS a type of cannabis) grown for fibre, to hemp agrimony, to hibiscus cannabium, and to Datisca, a perennial which makes an imposing plant.
I suppose you could try smoking it and see, but PC Plodd may have something to say about that.
