I bought this osteospermum the other day and would like to know which variety it is as it didn't state which it was. Can anyone tell me by the photo which variety it is. Do you think the 9" pot it is in is big enough?

I think is a run-of-mill, tender variety and not a perennial one. Sold at many garden centres but I wouldn't expect it to survive 'till next year. Also be aware of late frosts as it will kill it off but will be quite happy in the present planter.

Might be Osteospermum Sunbrella Pink, but most of these plants do not appreciate frost or colds nights. If it was under shelter when you bought it, it should be under shelter overnight now too, until mid - end of May.

Hi Brosy,

I think Jimmy meant it wasn't a hardy perennial one. They are perennials but need to be kept warm in the Winter ( much the same way as Pelarginium Geraniums etc ).
If the plant gets too large to mocmve, you can take cuttings off it in about September and keep these indoors on a sunny windowsill till next Spring.

How do I say thanks?
