my pears on the tree although small are spliting but not all of them also there is rust spots on the leaves

A photo of the affected fruit and leaves would be helpful, but if not - is the fruit simply splitting, or does it have scabby patches which are then splitting? What colour are the spots on the leaves - greyish brown or rusty orange?

I would say it could be erratic watering and the dry weather which would cause the splitting and the tree is in ill health through lack of nourishment, the leaves are prone to rust.
