ID 5 is of a snowdrop. this only cost £1 and there are 3 bulbs in the pot.
I've taken a couple of photos of the leaves too. they are about 3-4 inches long if that helps.

There are so many cultivars of snowdrops these days it is almost impossible to give and i.d.for any of them

what about the species, that would be a help.
I tried looking on google images but so often there is no name attached to the picture.

All I can say with any certainty is that it isn't G. plicatus or one of its hybrids. Ian Christie has been busy creating new cultivars but you certainly wouldn't be able to buy those at 3 bulbs for £1. Even going through the Galanthus book will only produce long shots! We've got various species and cultivars in the garden, including one called 'Grumpy', thanks to the blackbirds I doubt we'll ever i.d. most of them now.

Looking at again with Bulba probably a G nivalis cultivar but, considering there are over 600 of those that probably isn't much help

Knowing it nivalis is a step forward for me. Thanks. I really must try to look more closely at the species differences.
thank Bulba for me too.

Good luck SBG!

Sbg have a look at the Pacific Bulb Society website their photos of Galanthus are easy reading. When I saw your photo I thought it looks like G. Jonathon which I bought last year. When I looked that up on the internet it said it had a slight apricot shade between the green marks but I can't say I noticed that on mine.

I keep forgetting about that website. I should tag it as a favourite.
