I have gladioli corms and lily bulbs stored over from last year. Before planting them again do I need to remove all of the roots or do I just replant as they are with last years roots attached.
Thanks

Lily bulbs should have been left in the ground, since they need to stay moist all the time. You may have gotten lucky, but check the bulbs first--plump and white or beige is good, shriveled and dark brown or black is probably dead. If the lily bulbs are good, just plant as they are.
With Gladiolus, I would remove the old corms, brush off the dirt, and inspect the base of the corms for signs of rot. Putting them in a bag with a couple of tablespoons of cinnamon, and shaking it all up, is a good way of preventing diseases that you can't see.
