how deep does the root for a colorado blue grow

On plant Picea pungens

Depending on soil and watering conditions, 30-300 cm, with 95% of trees running 70-100 cm, in deep, rich soil. In poor soils the roots tend to spread out more shallowly to catch rainfall, and windfall nutrients. On rocky slopes, such as old landslides, they tend to root deeper for anchorage.
