I have a black diamond re Angel hydrangea that I planted yesterday with ericasious soil. I want red flowers. Should I replant with normal compost ?

Yes, I would - the planting instructions say 'any' soil. Its hard to know what impact, if any, ericaceous compost will make on its flower colour. Something with John Innes included would be good, or John Innes No 2 or 3.
