I live in the country and get alot of flies in the house, is there a plant that I can grown near the house to stop them coming in?

Not really - my inlaws had a chicken farm, so they always had flies too. Fly papers were the most effective, and they also had one of those zapper lights fixed to the wall in the kitchen sometimes seen in butcher's shops.
