make sure the space is large enough to take the plant when fully grown.
then dig the hole so it is at least half as big as the pot it is growing in. mix compost with the soil and place tree so the soil level is the same as it in the pot. then back fill wilth soil/compost mix. firm the soil down and water well and keep well watered.
