No definitely not check if your recycling centre can take, which I think is unlikely, but do not put on your compost! I only use enough sunflower oil to saute something in there is never any left to recycle.

I put all surplus cooking fats in a screw top jam jar and put it in the bin when it's full.

Our Tip take ours (Southend-on-Sea), we put it in screw top bottles and put it in a speical bin there for recycling.
