Hi Monk and welcome to GoY, which particular seeds are you wanting to know about?

Fill a tray with seed compost – firm down and sprinkle seeds on the top – lightly water and then cover lightly with seed compost or vermiculite – Keep damp but not sodden.

Check the packet of seeds you get for instructions as some seeds you will not have to cover – keep in frost free area

As I say most seeds are very easy makes no difference what type – Just read the instructions on the packet.

When large enough to handle prick out and transplant.

Makes a difference if it is an small alpine seed or a large lupin seed Triffid, they do need different treatment!
