Hi, welcome to GoY, I never feed Bamboo with anything, it grows fast enough without feeding it, Derek.

Neither do I,and mine is confined to a large pot..it does well enough without feeding,but I do water it well,as the foliage soon tells me it is too dry..

Seems I'm feeding unecessarily but I sprinkle pelleted chicken manure on about once a year. Mine's in big pot too.

Just give him a balanced diet and he'll keep answering my questions. Oops - wrong bamboo !

Yes, that's right, I am Hank, although at my age, in the hinterlands of life, its rapidly becoming debatable or irrelevant. And in my case, what I need feeding with is chocolate!

I never feed bamboo (the plant) either....

Oh dear, I never had a clue ! And chocolate is great - I have a very large bar beside as we " speak".
