Allium paradoxum, Few-flowered Garlic. Don't let it escape into the wild, it's an invasive alien plant.

thanks landgirl, know Knowing what it is I have found further information and have since dug the clump out, which is the best way to get rid of it, is it safe to put in the council green waste, I wouldn't want to risk it seeding anywhere else

It should be OK to put it in the green waste, in theory it will be completely degraded by the large-scale composting process. I think I would leave it out in the sun if possible to dehydrate first. Burning it would be even better.
