have been trying to grow potatoes in bags for 2nd season but have had no crop worth speaking about, have been mixing some 4yr old horse manure with bought compost but have had virtually no success, any suggestions.

pots are being grown in a sunny position so maybe i havnt given them enough water thanks for your help

Hi Brivin and welcome to GoY. I know some GoYers manage to grow potatoes in bags but personally we tried once and went back to growing in the ground - much more successful! I think the problem is the amount of water they need and the fact they need to be in full sun if at all possible.
