Could you tell me why my Camelia (which is in a tub) and had lots of flowers, but then the rest of the buds and some flowers turned brown and fell off. It isn't the frost as its been protected on a covered patio. Such a shame as it had the potential of looking beautiful but now looks a mess!

If it's a species camellia and if you are in south Berkshire and close to Wisley it might be worth a trip to the gardens (with bagged samples of your camellia) for them to look at.

If it's a hybrid camellia or if you're in the north of the county it is most likely to be a water/feed/frost problem.
Water - not enough last year
Feed - too late last year. Get a specialist camellia feed such as Trehane's and follow the instructions to the letter.
Frost - if it's outside it is susceptible, even if it is in a sheltered spot.
