I have a 4 yr old box elder maple in my yard. It looked really good this year and its showy display of color was grand...but early! It has lost 90% of its leaves already mid July. The tree itself looks fine and has new growth. The leaves didn't look any different than previous yrs. Could it be because of the wet spring we've had in Edmonton Alberta, Canada?
