Type the words 'making a rockery' into the search box top right of the page and you will find lots of information. Just make sure it does not end up looking like a 'plum pudding'. Achieving all year round colour in a rockery is nigh on impossible as alpine/rockery plants do not flower in winter. You can have very late and very early bulbs but there will be a period of the year with now flowers.

Easy rockery plants include: Aubretia, Alyssum, Dianthus, Rock Rose, Hypericum, Campanula, Lobelia, Creeping Phlox... the list is huge! Do a search on 'rockery plants' in the search box top right. Which plants you can grow and how many will be dictated by the size of your rockery. Make sure your rockery gets lots of sun, rockery/alpine plants will not grow in shade.
