I have 2 Melon Emir's (Charantais hybrid) the plants are growing extremely well outside with dozens of flowers. How many fruits should I keep per plant and should I polinate them manually. The plants were bought from a nursery

Thanks, I was concerned that most of the comments I have seen say the plants should be grown inside, I was beginning to think I had erred by planting them outside.

In the past I have let nature pollinate then kept about 6 fruits on the plant.
