my husband was a keen gardener ,since his passing i have tried to make the best of it .but i have got a weed and it killing the plants its not knott vine but it is growing inbetwean the plants and icant find out icant get any pics to identfy please help

it starts as a bit of grass then spreds along the soil and up anbetwean the flowers a bot like ground cover but then it climes to about six inches thank you for your concern

Houghton, any chance you could post a photograph of the culprit? It could be couch grass from your description, but a photograph would be much more helpful.

I suspect its couch grass too bamboo.

I'm no weed expert but I think you'll need to be more descriptive to get any good suggestions from the experts on here :o)
