My strawberries are putting out runners

depends if want to keep the new plants for later, if you do then fill a small pot with compost, put the newly forming plant into the compost, place something (stone) or similar just behind it to keep in in contact with the compost and wait until it sprouts its own roots then separate from the mother plant, if you dont want them, cut them off and discard...

They will give fruit the following summer.
