One of my potato plants has grown something that looks very much like a tomato (green not red) I wondered what it was?

This is the fruit of the potato, it is in the same family as Tomatoes, so the fruit looks the same and it will go red as it ripens. However, it is VERY POISONOUS. Do not eat it. Remove from the plant as it is not needed.
