I have a conference pear tree which after 4 years ia producing 7 pears all on one branch is this normal?

It is unusual, but if it is on a dwarfing rootstock, they can do this.

Thankyou for info, does it mean that it will be the same in following years? I bought it in Morrisons and cant remember what the label said. sorry to be a nuisance.

I can't promise that as Pears need to be pollinated and need to avoid late frosts to fruit well. If it was in flower when you bought it, it may have been pollinated in the nursery or grown inside. There are a lot of variables.

thankyou for your help, I will just have to wait and see what happens, we are surrounded by bee keepers so lets hope they are busy ones and get pollinating next year, even though I am not sure if there are pear trees in the neighbourhood. Irene.
