There is a massive variety of alpines that look great in a rockery, try clicking 'a' at the bottom of page and selecting alpines. Lots of good advice and plant pics to help you get ideas :o)

alpines can withstand any amount of snow, they get it in their native habitat. They don't like excessive wet in winter or long periods of frost without snow cover.
