I have an apple tree which has aphids, for the last couple of years i have been spraying the tree with detergent which gets rid of them each year but they keep coming back, is there anything i can buy that will get rid of the aphids for good?

No - they will always return, and most systemic insecticides (which keep them away for up to 2 weeks) aren't suitable for use on food plants.
