Water it very deeply, and wait a couple of weeks. If it's bluegrass or creeping fescue, a surprising amount could come up from the rhizomes. None-spreading grass species are more problematical.

I doubt you have killed the grass and the company say overdosing is not likely? So can we have a bit more info? such as did you apply it neat, in a drought? Or did you also apply weed killer?
