Hi

If it's a large area with no grass at all, then you will probably have to kill it all and start again. If it's just patchy weeds you can use weed and feed to kill the weeds and feed the grass that is there. If it's a small lawn you could dig is up and returf or decide to have something different, a different shape, a small pond, pebbled area with a bubble pool, or you could even plant it with chamomile which is really fragrant when cut and has very pretty daisy-like flowers. If you decide to kill it, I would have a look at your local garden centre for something that won't be too harsh on your other plants and the wild-life in your garden.
