my cordaline is shooting from the bottem will it grow ok left allone. the shoots are comeing from the main trunk it self there's quite affew, the top is still growing. ou

It should be fine, Evansderek, though at some point you may want to cut off the main stem, if it isn't doing well. Usually no need to thin out the basal shoots--they will sort themselves out with graceful curves into a spectacular tropical looking accent. This is also a good opportunity to get extras, as long as you wait for the sprouts to get their own roots.
