My Stipa are on a slope of clay soil in sun, most of the day ther are trees sourrounding site. I have given them a lidquid fertilisers but they are still sulking. 3 are new plants, one is transplanted from elsewhere in the garden because it was not doing well.

Sorry but Stipa do not thrive on a clay soil, they need a well drained light soil to do well.
