More questions sorry.am I watering my large fan plant in the corner too much, the ends are looking as if they are dying.

Assuming there's good drainage in that pot, it should be fine - that sort of damage on the ends is usually caused by wind.

Thanks bamboo, forgot to say that's a pot in a pot, do you think it's that and getting pot bound.

Ah, well yes, that's likely, though it depends how long its been in the smaller pot - most palms prefer to be slightly potbound, but there does come a point where you have to pot on, just not into something much bigger.

Hate to say it but if it's pot bound you'll struggle to get it out of that pot without damage to the plant or the pot (probably both). Lovely pot but the narrow neck makes it not a good shape for anything that might need potting on in the future.

I just want to say how pretty your garden is. I love the shed!

Thanks again, will keep my eye on it, just looks so nice in that pot, oh well. Thanks Melchisedec most kind to say so I have changed the whole garden this year to low maintenance, and a lot of pots, watering is fun, looks great, but I must re- think, few people have said I am only showing summer, what about winter and spring uhhmmmm I agree with them, what am I to do. I am at sixes and sevens.

Depends - if you can't see the garden in winter, and presumably don't spend any time out there, does it matter? If you can see through a window or something, do a couple of pots with a smallish variegated evergreen such as one of the Euonymus, a bit of ivy and some pansies. Or use Cupressus macrocarpa 'Wilma' - Tesco's have those at the moment for £3.

I'm happy for you that you find wateirng fun! I wondered about "maintenance free" when you decided to go for pots but if like watering that's grand - it is all looking very nice and the shed is great - prettiest I've seen..
