help with my curly caterpillars please

my plants have grown well with green leaves but have shown no sign off any curly hairy bits forming, i planted them in may, they start to die or shrivel at the tips despite plenty of water and being on a sunny window ledge, help!

the sunny window sill might be too hot. browning tips suggests they are burning in the sun. move them to slightly less direct sun if you can and see if this helps.
