Why have the fruit on my Shirley tomatoes appear to have stopped growing although the plants have reached the top of the greenhouse.

You need to pinch out the tops of your tomato plants, this iid usually done after the plant has set about four trusses of tomatoes. Sounds like you plants are putting all their energy into green growth rather than growing the tomatoes. Have you been feeding regularly with a tomato feed?
